Starting July 1, 2024, residents of Lahore and surrounding areas will experience an increase in their LESCO Unit Rates and LESCO electricity bills due to the implementation of new tariff slabs. The LESCO tariff is the price of a single unit on electricity bills, which can vary based on total monthly consumption. This change is expected to affect households and businesses in the region.
LESCO Unit Rates
There will be an increase of Rs5.72 in electricity in the basic LESCO electricity tariff. Household consumers now pay a minimum of Rs23.73 per unit. The Federal Government has submitted a formal request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) seeking an adjustment to the prevailing tariff structure.
